How do I turn on closed captions?

We can help with turning on your closed captions! Here's how:

Roku & Telstra TV

1. First, click the down arrow on the TV remote while the episode or movie is playing.
2. If closed captioning is available for a show, a "CC" icon will appear on the lower right-hand side of the video player.
3. Click on the "CC" icon to turn on closed captioning.
4. Click on "CC" again to turn it off.

Using your web browser

1. Hover over the video with your mouse to bring up the progress bar & options.
2. Click on the small speech bubble icon in the lower right.
3. Choose the 'on' option to switch on closed captions.
4. You can also adjust the size of the closed captions by choosing the font size you prefer. Click on a smaller "Aa" to see smaller text and the bigger "Aa" to see larger text.

Samsung or LG Smart TVs, iOS, Android & Fetch

1. If closed captioning is available for an episode or movie, either an "S" or "CC" icon will appear on the lower right-hand side of the video player. If you're on a mobile or tablet, tap the screen to bring up these options.
2. If a light blue bar isn't below the "S" or "CC" icon, click on the "CC" icon to turn on closed captioning.
3. If a light blue bar appears below the "S" or "CC" icon, closed captioning is already turned on for the episode or movie. Click the "S" or "CC" icon to turn it off.

If the show is playing and you can see other elements of the video player like the volume slider and progress bar, but an "S" or "CC" icon does not appear on the lower right-hand side of the video player, then closed captioning is unavailable for this episode or movie.

Apple TV

1. Navigate to the image of the episode you would like to watch on its brand or season page. For a movie, navigate to the movie's specific landing page.
2. If closed captioning is available for a show, a grey button with a play icon and the letters "CC" on it will appear below the episode image or beside a movie's default play buttons.
3. Instead of clicking on the episode image itself, navigate down to the grey button with a play icon and the letters "CC" on it. The button will highlight white when you reach it.
4. Click this button to play the movie or episode with closed captioning.
5. To turn off closed captioning for an episode, navigate back to the image of the episode you would like to watch on a show's brand or season page and click the image.
6. To turn off closed captioning for a movie, navigate to the movie's specific landing page and select the default play buttons.
