Who are the hosts?
The podcast is hosted by Edith Bowman, award-winning UK broadcaster and podcast host, and Michelle Collins, US comedian and TV personality. Together, they bring British and American perspectives to the conversation.
Edith is known for her BBC Radio work and her podcast Soundtracking with Edith Bowman. Michelle is known for The View, The Michelle Collins Show, and appearances on The Today Show and Watch What Happens Live.
Will the podcast feature interviews?
Yes. You will hear from stars, showrunners, and creators through exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes conversations. It is your chance to hear directly from the people who bring your favorite BritBox shows to life.
Are there any spoilers?
We may lightly discuss key moments in shows, but we aim to avoid major spoilers so you can enjoy the stories at your own pace.
How often are new episodes released?
New episodes drop every Monday, starting March 9, 2026. The first season includes 20 weekly episodes.
How long will episodes remain available?
Episodes will remain available indefinitely, so you can listen anytime.
Where can I listen?
The podcast is available globally on major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. It is not available in the BritBox app.
Is it free?
Yes! On the Box is completely free to listen to. You do not need a BritBox subscription or account.
Do I need to log in with my BritBox account?
No. Your BritBox account is separate from podcast platforms. Simply use your preferred podcast app to start listening.
Is it available in video format?
'On the Box' is a full audio-only podcast. Full episodes are not available in video format, but we may share short video clips on our social media to give superfans a sneak peek. Be sure to follow us so you don’t miss anything!
Are transcripts available?
Some platforms may offer automatic transcripts. These are generated by the platform and may contain errors. BritBox does not currently provide official transcripts.
Is there a content warning?
Because the podcast features natural, conversational discussions, you may hear occasional strong language. Episodes will carry an Explicit rating where appropriate. Listener discretion is advised.
Will I hear ads?
The podcast is free to listen to. If you hear ads, they are delivered by the streaming platform you are using, particularly on free listening plans. BritBox subscriptions are separate from podcast platforms.
How do I report an issue while listening?
If you experience an issue, such as episodes not loading, the podcast not appearing in search, no sound, or trouble downloading, first try closing and reopening the app, restarting your device, checking your internet connection, and ensuring your podcast app is up to date.
