You don’t need any additional software to watch BritBox in your web browser. Simply visit BritBox.com and start streaming right away. You can also download our app to watch on your mobile, tablet, TV, or streaming device.
Just search for "BritBox" in your device’s app store, or see below for step-by-step instructions.
Mobile & Tablets
Android
- Open the Google Play store on your device
- Search for 'BritBox' and download the BritBox app
- Open the app, and register or Sign In
New subscribers will need to create an account. You'll be prompted to subscribe via your Google Play account.
If you're already subscribed to BritBox, select the 'Sign In' option and enter your BritBox username and password. Note that you don't need to use your Google account to log in even though you're on an Android device.
Apple
- Open the Apple App Store on your device
- Search for 'BritBox' and download the BritBox app
- Open the app, and register or Sign In
New subscribers will need to create an account. You'll be prompted to subscribe via your Apple ID.
If you're already subscribed to BritBox, select the 'Sign In' option and enter your BritBox username and password. You don't need to use your Apple ID to log in, even though you're on an Apple device.
Streaming Devices
Android TV
The BritBox app is compatible with Android TV and Google TV devices running Android OS 5.0 or later, including Google Chromecast TV and set-top boxes like the NVIDIA Shield.

Apple TV
BritBox is supported on Apple TV (4th generation) and newer, including Apple TV HD (released October 30, 2015) and all Apple TV 4K models.

Elisa Viihde
No installation is needed, as the BritBox app is already installed on the Elisa Premium Digibox (Netgem) and Elisa Viihde Plus, the Android TV-based application. Learn more about apps and app sign-in on the Elisa Viihde support page.
You sign in using your existing BritBox account, or you can sign up on the web and later sign in on these devices using your newly created account.
Fire TV
Here's how to install the BritBox app on Fire TV:
- Follow these instructions from our friends at Amazon to download the BritBox app onto your Fire TV device or Fire TV
- From your Home screen, open the BritBox app
- Select 'Start Watching' from the top right
- You’ll then be given the option to sign in on your TV with your remote and onscreen keyboard or sign in & sign up on the web using our device pairing flow
- Once complete, your TV screen will refresh
- Enjoy BritBox, day and night
These steps are for the BritBox app for Fire TV, not for subscribing or watching via Amazon Prime Video.
Netrange
The BritBox app is available on Netrange devices and operating systems (OS) in the U.S., Australia, and Canada. Integrated with over 300 device partners worldwide, including:

Installing the app is easy, but instructions may vary depending on your device. We recommend navigating to your device's app store and searching for 'BritBox'. For detailed, step-by-step instructions, you can visit the help center specific to your device.
The app may be auto-installed on select compatible Netrange devices, such as:

Rogers
No installation is needed, as the BritBox app is already installed on the XiOne, Xi6, XG1v4, XG1v3, and XiD boxes. Learn more about apps and app sign-in on the Rogers support page.
You sign in using your existing BritBox account or sign up on the web and later sign in on these devices using your newly created account.
Roku & The Roku Channel
BritBox is supported on most Roku devices, though some older models may no longer be compatible.
To get started, follow these steps from Roku to download the BritBox app. If you run into issues, make sure your Roku software is up to date. Once the app is installed, open BritBox and sign in using your existing account—whether you're a current or returning subscriber.
Alternatively, you can subscribe to BritBox through The Roku Channel:
- Navigate to 'The Roku Channel' on your Roku device
- Search for 'BritBox' within The Roku Channel
- Select BritBox from the search results
- Follow the on-screen prompts to start your subscription
- This will add BritBox as a premium subscription within The Roku Channel
Note: Roku no longer supports legacy models 3600 and 4400X or any older Roku devices. Streaming the BritBox app on these older devices may not be possible.
Videotron
No installation is needed, as the BritBox app is already installed on the X1 devices, including Arris, Technicolor, Sercomm/Broadcomm. Learn more about apps and app sign-in on the Videotron support page.

Xfinity
No installation is needed, as the BritBox app is already installed on the Xfinity Flex, X1, Xumo Stream Boxes, and Xumo, the Xfinity operating system powering 4K UHD Hisense smart TVs. Just search for BritBox on your device.
Flex/X1
- Follow these instructions to activate/sign in to the BritBox app.
- The BritBox app is supported on Flex and X1 devices running on version 6.6 or higher.
Xumo/Xumo Stream Boxes
- Follow these instructions to activate/sign in to the BritBox app.
You sign in to Xfinity Flex and X1 using your existing BritBox account, or you can sign up on the web and later sign in on these devices using your newly created account.
Smart Televisions
Hisense TV
Installing the BritBox app on your Hisense Smart TV is easy. We hope you especially enjoy step eight:
- Using your remote, find the 'Home' button
- Click it to return to the homepage
- Navigate to the 'App Store'
- Activate the on-screen keyboard
- Type BritBox in the 'App Store' search box
- Click 'Enter' to find and select the app
- Click on 'Install'. It will start downloading immediately, allow 30-60 seconds to complete the download
- Enjoy BritBox, day and night
LG TV
We support LG Smart TVs from 2017 or newer, which run at least webOS 3.5 or higher. The steps to install the BritBox app on your LG Smart TV depend on your device's webOS version.
- Follow these instructions from our friends at LG to download an app to your TV
- Search for BritBox and complete the installation process
- Open the BritBox app once downloaded, and click the 'Sign In' button in the top right
- Visit https://www.britbox.com/activate in a web browser on your desktop or mobile device
- If you're a new subscriber, click the 'Free Trial' button to create a new account
- If you're an existing subscriber, click 'Sign In' and enter your email address and password
- Enter the unique code displayed on your TV into the area provided and click 'Connect'
- Once connected, your TV screen will refresh
- Enjoy BritBox, day and night
If you've signed up on the web and didn't see an option to enter the code, ensure that you typed in the full web address exactly as shown on your TV screen and as listed in 'Step 4' above. You cannot enter the code if you go to our homepage.
Samsung TV
The BritBox app is available for Samsung Smart TVs from 2018 or newer, which run at least Tizen 2.
- Follow these instructions from our friends at Samsung to download an app to your TV
- Search for BritBox and complete the installation process
- Click the 'Sign In' button in the top right
- Visit https://www.britbox.com/activate in a web browser on your desktop or mobile device
- If you're a new subscriber, click the 'Free Trial' button to create a new account
- If you're an existing subscriber, click on 'Sign In' and enter your email address and password
- Enter the unique code displayed on your TV into the area provided and click 'Connect'
- Sign in to your BritBox account with your email address and click 'Continue'
- Enter your password, then click 'Sign In'
- Once connected, your TV screen will refresh
- Enjoy BritBox, day and night
If you've signed up on the web and didn't see an option to enter the code, ensure that you typed in the full web address exactly as shown on your TV screen and as listed in 'Step 4' above. You cannot enter the code if you go to our homepage.
Vizio TV
Follow the steps below:
- Press the left arrow button on your remote when you are on the SmartCast input
- A menu will appear on the left
- Navigate down and select 'Apps'
- Choose or search for the BritBox app
- Once the app is added, open it
- Either connect your existing account with the app, or follow the 'Create New Account' process to purchase BritBox through your Vizio Account
- Once connected, your screen will refresh
- Enjoy BritBox, day and night

Amazon Prime Video
- Add BritBox as an "add on" channel through your Amazon Prime Video account. Please note that if you subscribe via Amazon, you'll only be able to watch BritBox on Amazon and not on any of the BritBox apps
- Available in the United States, Canada, Australia and Sweden
Telia TV4 Play & TV 2 Play
- Subscribe directly with TV4 Play & TV 2 Play
- Not all packages include BritBox
- Available to subscribers in Denmark*, Finland**, and Sweden***
- BritBox is not a part of TV 2 in Norway
