New shows and films are released at set times depending on your region. Generally, new shows are released at 6:00 a.m. EST, but some titles may be available earlier or later. The date shown reflects your local time zone, whether you’re using the BritBox app or website.
Release times by region
- Canada: 6:00 a.m. EST
- Denmark: 2:00 a.m. CEST
- Finland: 2:00 a.m. EEST
- Norway: 2:00 a.m. CEST
- Sweden: 2:00 a.m. CEST
- United States: 6:00 a.m. EST
Why does the date sometimes look different?
Because the date shown reflects your local time zone, some titles may appear as “Coming Soon” before they are available to watch.
If a show is released at 3:00 a.m. EST on March 10, it will be available at 9:00 p.m. HST on March 9 in Hawaii. In this case, the title may appear with a March 9 date locally, even though the official release date is March 10.
Content will only be available to watch at the scheduled release time.
