Picture in Picture (PiP) lets you continue watching BritBox in a small, floating window while using other apps on your device.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open the 'Settings' app
- Tap 'General' or 'Multitasking & Gestures,' depending on your iOS version
- Select 'Picture in Picture'
- Turn on 'Start PiP Automatically'
To use Picture in Picture:
- Open the BritBox app
- Start playing a show or film
- Press the 'Home' button or swipe up to leave the app while the video is still playing
- Your video will continue playing in a small floating window
On Android Mobile or Tablet
Picture in Picture is automatically enabled when you update the BritBox app to version 2.6.7 or later. No additional in-app settings are required.
To use Picture in Picture:
- Open the BritBox app
- Start playing a show or film
- Press the 'Home' button or swipe up to leave the app while the video is still playing
- Your video will continue playing in a small floating window
You can move the PiP window around your screen, tap it to access playback controls, or return to full-screen viewing at any time.
