The EU Portability Regulation allows consumers across the European Economic Area to access their online content services (like BritBox) as if at home while traveling within the EU. BritBox portability applies to subscribers in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway, including subscriptions with Google Play and Apple*.
You can watch BritBox in any other EU member country with an active subscription.
For example, a subscriber in Norway who travels to Italy will be able to view the Norway catalog. Despite being in Italy, where BritBox does not have a market presence.
These rules do not apply to customers who subscribe in the United States, Canada, or Australia, as those countries are not in the EU and do not apply to them.
However, standard BritBox portability rules still apply.
For example, a subscriber in the United States who travels to Norway can watch the Norway content catalog. However, if they travel to Italy, they cannot watch BritBox.
A list of all EU countries can be seen here.
You cannot sign up for BritBox in other EU countries.
*Subscriptions with Google Play and Apple may need to verify their country of residence. Learn more here.
