The BritBox app is pre-installed on most Vizio Smart TVs and can't be fully uninstalled. However, you can remove the app from your Home screen or clear the app's cache if you're experiencing issues.
Option 1: Remove the BritBox App from the Home Screen
If you'd like to remove the BritBox app from your app row:
- Press the 'V' or 'Home' button on your Vizio remote
- Highlight the BritBox app
- Press and hold the 'OK' or 'Enter' button for 2–3 seconds
- Select 'Customize App Row' (or press the 'Down Arrow,' depending on your TV model)
- Select 'Remove' or 'Delete,' then confirm
Option 2: Clear the BritBox App Cache
If the BritBox app is freezing, loading slowly, or you're having trouble signing in, clearing the app's cache may help.
- Press the 'Menu' button on your Vizio remote
- Go to 'Settings' > 'Apps' (or 'Applications')
- Select the BritBox app
- Choose 'Clear Cache,' then confirm
- Turn off your TV completely for 30 seconds, then turn it back on
