You can download shows and films using the BritBox app on an iPad, iPhone, or Android phone/tablet:
- If you’re a subscriber in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
- If you’re a Premier subscriber in the United States and Canada.
Downloading may also be available if you subscribe through Amazon Prime Video Channels, The Roku Channel, or Apple TV Channels, as supported by those partner platforms.
Downloading Basics
You’ll see a download button next to shows and films in the BritBox app. Please keep the following in mind:
- Some BritBox titles may not be available for download due to rights restrictions.
- A subscription allows downloads on up to five devices.
- Downloaded content will automatically be removed from your ‘Downloads’ list after 30 days.
- Once you start watching a downloaded title, it will be removed from your ‘Downloads’ list after 48 hours.
- Downloaded content is removed when a subscription expires.
- If you travel to a country where BritBox is unavailable, you must be offline to watch your downloaded content.
Downloading Limits
- You may download up to 25 show episodes or films per account across all devices. This is a total limit, not per device.
- There is also an in-app storage limit of 20 GB for downloads.
- The app may reserve at least 2GB of free space for updates and essential functions to ensure smooth performance.
- If your total downloads reach the storage limit before hitting 25 downloads, you may need to free up space by removing content before downloading more.
