You can download content using the BritBox app on an iPad, iPhone, or Android phone/tablet in Australia, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, or Norway.
Downloading may also be available if you subscribe through Amazon Prime, Roku Channel, or Apple TV Channels, as supported by those partner platforms.
Downloading Basics
You’ll see a download button next to episodes and movies in the BritBox app. Please keep the following in mind:
- A subscription allows downloads on up to five devices.
- Downloaded content will automatically be removed from your ‘Downloads’ list after 30 days.
- Once you start watching a downloaded title, it will be removed from your ‘Downloads’ list after 48 hours.
- If you travel to a country where BritBox is unavailable, you must be offline to watch your downloaded content.
- Some BritBox titles may not be available for download due to rights restrictions.
Downloading Limits
- You may download up to 10 episodes or movies per account across all devices. This is a total limit, not per device.
- There is also an in-app storage limit of 20 GB for downloads.
- The app may reserve at least 2GB of free space for updates and essential functions to ensure smooth performance.
- If your total downloads reach the storage limit before hitting 10 downloads, you may need to free up space by removing content before downloading more.
