How do I redeem a gift subscription if I’m a current or previous subscriber?

Current Subscriber 

If you're actively subscribed to BritBox, here is how to redeem:

1. Sign in to your account at BritBox.com
2. Click on your name in the top right corner
3. Click on 'My Account'
4. Under 'Have a code to redeem?', click on 'Redeem a Gift'
5. Enter your gift code or card number into the box
6. Follow the prompts
7. That's it!

When you redeem a gift subscription, it will start immediately and be applied to your account right away. Any remaining time on your current paid plan isn’t lost; we’ll convert the remaining value of your plan into extra days on the new subscription.

This is done through daily proration, which means we calculate how much your remaining subscription is worth each day, then convert that value into days on your new plan based on the cost of the new subscription. In simple terms, your gift starts immediately, and the unused time from your old plan is added as extra days to your new one.

Previous Subscriber

If you've previously subscribed to BritBox, but your account is not active, here is how to redeem:

1. Go to britbox.com/redeem
2. Enter your gift code
3. Enter the email address associated with your BritBox account, or create a new account
4. If you use your existing BritBox account, the system will detect it and ask you to sign in. If creating a new account, provide all required details as prompted.
5. Click 'Apply'
6. A confirmation message will appear, indicating that the gift has been applied to your account

To redeem your gift, please access our website through a computer or a web browser on your phone or tablet. Please be aware that if you use a mobile browser, you may need to adjust your browser settings to avoid being redirected to the app.

What if I don't want the gift subscription to renew?

We hope you'll stick around, but if you'd prefer your subscription not to renew after your 1-year gift subscription, you can cancel it anytime. You can continue watching until the last day of your gift subscription. Find out more.

If you cancel your gift subscription early, you’ll continue to have access for the full 12-month period, but we don’t offer refunds for any unused time on annual plans, including gifted ones.
